Fire Extinguisher Technician
ABC Fire Extinguisher Inc. is seeking a motivated individual to join our team and assist with customer needs in the fire protection field. Prior experience in fire protection is preferred, but ABC will provide additional training to ensure your success in the role. This position offers the potential for advancement within the company into other areas of the fire protection industry.

Position Overview:
The Extinguisher Technician is responsible for providing on-site service of portable fire extinguishers and emergency lights to our customers throughout the greater Pittsburgh area. After completing company-provided training, the technician will be expected to complete assigned routes in a fully equipped company vehicle, servicing, repairing, and maintaining fire extinguishers and emergency lighting units for our established customer base. The technician will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with fire safety codes and proposing remedies when necessary.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
- Service, repair, and maintain fire extinguishers and emergency lighting units
- Ensure compliance with fire safety codes and propose corrective measures when needed
- Use mechanical aptitude and hand/power tools to complete tasks efficiently
- Work collaboratively with a team of technicians
Additional Qualifications & Requirements:
- Prior experience with fire extinguisher servicing is a plus (training will be provided)
- ICC or other state-recognized fire extinguisher certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work in a team environment and independently when needed
- Strong mechanical aptitude and experience using hand/power tools
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and safety
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Positive attitude, a strong desire to learn, and grow within the industry
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a drug screening and background check
