ROUTE SCHEDULER
ABC Fire Extinguisher Inc. is seeking a motivated individual to support our route scheduling needs. Previous experience a plus, but ABC will provide comprehensive training to ensure success in the role.

Position Overview:
The Route Scheduler is responsible for efficiently planning and organizing the daily schedule for our field service technicians. This includes monitoring technicians throughout the workday, confirming appointments, ensuring customer satisfaction, and offering additional services to our established customer base. The role also involves communication with field technicians regarding assigned routes and completion of tasks, as well as updated account information.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The following list includes key responsibilities of the Route Scheduler. This is not an exhaustive list, and ABC Fire reserves the right to modify or add to these duties as needed. In certain situations, all personnel may be asked to perform duties outside of their typical responsibilities.
- Manage and assign service appointments for field service technicians
- Effectively plan and organize technician routes to maximize efficiency
- Contact customers to schedule, confirm, and follow up on service appointments
- Handle incoming and outgoing phone calls with customers, technicians, vendors, and others
- Follow up with both customers and technicians regarding services provided to ensure satisfaction
- Maintain clear, concise communication between technicians and the office
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting and coordinate across departments
- Basic computer proficiency, including typing and use of scheduling software
- Knowledge of Pittsburgh and surrounding areas is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent required
